At The Refinery Wellness Center, we are proud to host a collective of independent wellness providers, each running their own unique businesses under one roof. We share a common space, but each practitioner is responsible for their own practice, creating a collaborative environment where clients can access a variety of holistic wellness services.

This unique arrangement allows us to offer a diverse range of treatments and expertise, all while supporting local, independent entrepreneurs dedicated to helping you achieve your wellness goals.

As the founder of The Refinery Wellness Center, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together—a collective of independent wellness professionals, each thriving in their businesses under one roof.

Running a space like this means balancing leadership with collaboration. While I’m honored to have created the vision for this space, it’s the unique strengths and talents of each individual that truly make us strong. Every practitioner here brings something special, and that’s what makes this community so vibrant.

I’ve learned that sometimes, leadership means leading from the front—setting the vision, guiding the way, and ensuring we stay true to our mission. But other times, it means leading from behind, empowering each to step into their own greatness and shine in their practice.

This isn’t just about me or my ideas—it’s about all of us working together to create a space that nurtures growth, wellness, and connection for everyone. We’re stronger when we each bring our unique gifts to the table.

“The Refinery Finds Its Forever Home In New Holstein”

Bateman first opened The Refinery in 2017 with a vision to provide high-quality skincare and body treatments focused on anti-aging, acne care, body waxing, and Reiki healing. Since then, the business has blossomed into something much bigger—a collaborative sanctuary of wellness professionals working together to bring clients into balance, inside and out.

“I always dreamed of creating a space that goes beyond skin deep,” Bateman says. “A calm, quiet place where people can truly disconnect from the noise of the world and reconnect with themselves.”

Now home to a diverse team of women entrepreneurs, The Refinery Wellness Center shares space with independent specialists in hair styling, massage therapy, functional medicine, aesthetics, nails, physical therapy, Pilates, and personal training. While each professional runs their own business, they share a united approach: addressing the root causes of imbalance through Ayurvedic and holistic principles, and fostering a deep sense of harmony for their clients.

This collective model is what truly sets The Refinery apart. Rather than offering isolated services, the center functions as a wellness ecosystem, where collaboration, not competition, reigns.

The new space on Wisconsin Avenue marks not just a move, but a milestone. “It’s our forever home,” Bateman says. “This is a space for healing, for growth, for community. We can’t wait to welcome everyone in.”
